To ensure a fast user experience and manage API usage, we cache data. Live match data is updated every few minutes, while player stats and series information are refreshed periodically.

API & Service Information
Cricbuzz API: We utilize a third-party API hosted on RapidAPI to fetch cricket data. This API provides us with a rich set of information, including live scores, match details, player profiles, series information, news, and rankings. Our application is heavily dependent on the availability and accuracy of this service.
Firebase: We use Google's Firebase platform for our backend infrastructure. This includes Firestore for database storage (caching API data and storing user information), Firebase Authentication for user management (login/signup), and Firebase Hosting for deploying the application.
Google AI (Gemini Models): All AI-powered features, such as match predictions, player analysis, and fantasy team suggestions, are powered by Google's latest Gemini AI models through the Genkit framework. These models analyze the data we collect to provide intelligent and context-aware insights.
YouTube API: The "Videos" and "Shorts" sections of our application are populated using the official YouTube Data API. We query the API for relevant cricket content to provide an engaging video experience for our users.
